With Hurricane Irene approaching I think those of us on the East Coast/Seaboard need to take heed especially after New York, Virginia, and North Carolina on Tuesday; August 23, 2011. In case of a watch/warning is issued please be proactive. By that I mean:
-Ensuring to have a radio, flash lights, batteries, matches, bottle water, food supply, & gas/generator to last several days
-Know where nearest shelter/ evacuation zone is
-First Aid Kit
The National Hurricane Center has listed the storm as a category three (possible 4 by late today - Friday) hurricane with wings reaching 120 MPH when it passed by the Bahamas. Irene is expected to past by the outer banks of the Carolina’s and make landfall in Boston.
