Are these young stars even worthy to take over were these famous artists left off? Hey some of these older artists still have some mileage left on them. I have had the privilege of seeing Prince in concert twice and he still has an amazing stage presence, vocals and the man plays several instruments. Sorry, Miguel is not ready to step in this man’s shoes, yes he has great vocals and writing skills; but let’s see if he has “staying power”. Nicki Manaj has surpassed Lil’ Kim simply because she has been able to reach the masses through her pop diddies that have young stars singing them on YouTube. If you have a chance, check out Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez singing “Super Bass”.
Miss Nicki Manaj stepped out the gate and gained a great amount of cross over appeal right alongside her stands her two label mates Lil Wayne and Drake. They are prepared to take over the game and a few younger fans with both Nicki and Drake to appear in the next installment of Ice Age: Continental Drift. Sure some older artist should past on the torch but they should never be forgotten. If artist want to set up there future take a look at people like Prince, Tina Turner, and Sade turning into their fifty’s, have appeal outside of there so called genre’s and can touch different generations.
