Red Tails Out Today

Take the time this weekend to Check out Red Tails out today. A great opportunity to watch some of the struggles that these young men went through and over came to fly those planes. Blazing the past for all those young men and women who know are part of the US Air force honestly who are part of the US Military. It seems the farther we get from the tails of slavery, of Jim Crow of the struggle and stand that Civil Rights Fighters have taken that it was not as easy as it is for us at this time. We need to remember them and commend them and do the best that we can to not let all the hard work put in my those that came be for us go to waste.

Movement of Change

Dr M L King and all those that walked with you
I give thanks to your courage
44 years later much has changed
Realistically much has stayed the same
Racial, Religious, Sexual discrimination still exist
War, Poverty, Lack of Education highlight life all the same
Civil Right struggles assisted in giving options and choices
Improving old ways of living
What is done strictly lay on individual shoulders
The offered gift of change
Scarifies should not fall amongst vain hearts
Legacy of the Civil Rights continues
Past on by unlikely of teachers
Just as the unlikely members of the Movement
Ideas of the past live forever
Thank you again to the Civil Right Members of the Movement

Education after Desegregation

OK, love Huffington Post because it give us a not traditional view what is going on in the world. Christopher Bonastia’s article caught my eye this morning titled “How Different Do Schools Look Today 50 Years After Prince Edward County, Virginia? I think back on my days of going to school in the public system of New York City and yes the schools may have been desegregated but I lived in a poor neighborhood in Brooklyn, NY so when I sat in class everyone looked like my self I do not call that desegregation.

School may have been desegregated but poverty and low incomes also placed you in a position of living in areas that did not allow you to go to school with whites. The first time I sat in a class with a person who was white besides a teacher was in my first College class at Baurch in New York City. Moving to the South has done something that I did not have when I grew up it has given my girls the opportunity to attend school with all types of children. They have what I did not have friends of all kind of backgrounds, culture and color besides Latino. I appreciate this because the really world is more then Black and White.

Jack of All Trades

André Lauren Benjamin is the second half of the duo: OutKast; however, Dre is better known for spitting the SICKEST FLOWS. André 3000 was born in Florida but raised in Georgia where his musical career took off during High School. OutKast is known for producing hits like: “Ms Jackson”, “The Whole World”, “Rosa Parks” and many more. André 3000 is in high demands for his chill tone, storytelling/free-styling and catchy versus.  After nearly 5 years of keeping a low profile the rap genius was featured on the following songs:

Play The Guitar” - B.o.B. featuring André 3000
“I Do”- Young Jeezy featuring Jay Z, and André 3000
The Real Her” - Drake featuring André 3000
Party” - Beyoncé featuring Kanye West, and André 3000
The Sleazy 2.0 (REMIX)”Ke$ha featuring T.I., Lil Wayne,  and André 3000
Dedication To My Ex”- Lloyd featuring Lil Wayne, Wiz Khalifa, and André 3000

It is rumored that 3000  will play Jimmy Hendricks in a movie, that he will release a solo LP or/and a OutKast studio album this year!

Made In the USA

I am a firm believer of “Made in the USA” not to many of those these days! President Obama seems to also a believer of the USA brand! “I’m calling on those businesses that haven’t brought jobs back to take this opportunity to get the American people back to work,” Obama said in the prepared remarks. “That’s how we’ll rebuild an economy where hard work pays off and responsibility is rewarded – and a nation where those values lives on.1 Let’s see if the 14 companies that President Obama meet with will take this into consideration and bring back some jobs to help put Americans back to work. At this time it seems that Ford will be bring back about 2,000 jobs to the US factories by 2015 to states such as Michigan, Ohio and Missouri.

"White Only" Yes it Still Exist

With the celebration of Dr Martin Luther King Jr.’s Birthday coming up on the 16th I believe that we still have a long way to go 44 years after his death. Believe it that all is not smooth in the relations of people of colored and those who are not. It kind of supported my thinking that change is slow simple look at the fact that a landlord in Ohio placed a sign on her pool which read “Public Swimming Pool, White Only”. This all came to a head when a white resident invited his biracial 10 year old daughter to swim at the pool at his complex. In protecting his child he moved out without addressing the issue – I my opinion he should have made the landlord of the issue. Yes racism lives I believe it may change but dislike will all ways bloom when people do not understand the differences in others. Yes we all are created equal but are not cookie cutter exact learn to appreciate the differences that make us all individuals.

Billboard's "Rising Star" For 2011

"Super Bass", has became a mega crossover hit, boosting radio play on both urban and party stations. The song offically gave Onika Tanya Maraj star power, multiple nominations, and awards this year. From rocking a pink chicken wing around her neck, recently deescalating a “Twitter-beef” between her hype man & Cheer, being the face of MAC: Viva Glam Lipstick Campaign as well as OPI Nail Lacquer, named: “The Most Iconic Women (along with Rihanna) In Music Today” (-Drake), and being the First Lady of Young Money Cash Money Billionaires. I’d say Miss Nicki has been getting busy! Besides being fresh off tour with Brittany Spears: Famme Fatale Tour”, and being a guest appearance on Taylor Swifts: "Speak Now" concert she has been featured on:

Dance EDITED (REMIX)”- Big Sean featuring Nicki Minaj
Make Me Proud”- Drake featuring Nicki Minaj
Y.U Mad”- Birdman featuring Lil Wayne, and Nicki Minaj
Turn Me On”- David Guetta featuring Nicki Minaj
Fireball”- Willow Smith featuring Nicki Minaj
You The Boss”- Rick Ross featuring Nicki Minaj

She is set to make guest appearances on: Tyga, Madonna, Sean Kingston and Birdman albums as well. Earlier this year she had the privilege to make Sophia Grace & cousin, Rosie’s dreams come true with her “meet & greet” on The Ellen Show. Telling the dynamic duo to: "stay in school and put the admiration for sing 2nd!"  Barbie’s mark your calanders because "Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded" sweetly drops on: Valentine’s Day (02/14) 2012! In the mean time please enjoy the newly released promotional singles: "Roman In Moscow" and "Stupid EDITED".

Happy 2012: Album Review

“Hold Up, Hold Up, Hold Up…” Kanye West Marvin & Chardonnay” (Finally Famous | 2011) Young Jeezy, Anthony Hamilton, and Robin Thicke all delivered albums that are Smack Ya Mama Good, no pun intended. If you haven't purchased your copy please do so immediately!

Young Jeezy | Thug Motivation 103: Hustlez Ambition (12/20/2011)

Welcome back Mr. Snowman, it’s been four long anticipating years-- but well worth it! A jam packed album with more features than a little bit: Jadakiss, 2 Chainz, Future, Andre 3000, Trick Daddy and more. He delivers the gospel for the streets in a way only a thug can narrate. TM 103 did not disappoint, and furthermore; was a great treat for loyal fans, such as myself!  Best-Bet Picks: “OJ”, “F.A.M.E”, “SupaFreak”, “I Do”, and “Leave You Alone”.

Anthony Hamilton | Back To Love (12/13/2011)

Mr. Hamilton is bringing SEXY BACK! I happened to see this smooth cat on tour earlier last month and he is definitely a force to be reckoned with. The album has a sophisticated, soulful, and has an easy appeal that you can let play with your windows down and just ride. If not two-step to it next time you’re out and about on your iPod. Mr. Hamilton represents the South (North Carolina to be exact) and you can definitely hear the southern twang on his tracks-- and I love it! Best-Bet Picks: Woo”, “Mad”, and “Never Let Go”,

Robin Thicke | Love After War (12/06/2011)

The return of music with S-O-U-L! To be honest Mr. Thicke channeled in Motown, Jazz, Doo-Whop, and early 1900s. To be honest, I feel that Robin has matured and evolved as an artist, as well as found his lane (musical genre) and experiencing with different sounds on his fourth studio album. Best-Bet Picks: “An Angel on Each Arm.”, “I’m An Animal”, “Love After War”, “What Would I Be?”, and “Tear On My Tuxedo”.
