Day Light Savings: Album Review

Before Daylights Savings Time Destruction of Glitter would like to seize the opportunity to review three albums that were recently released. Below albums are currently available at  participating retailers worldwide, ITunes, and Google Music.

Tyga
Careless World: Rise of The Last King
February 21, 2012

No matter if you are at King of Diamonds or Magic City or any night club, it’s inventible that you will hear “Rack City”. The lengthy album has appearances by: Pharrell, Nicki Minaj, Big Sean, Chris Brown, Busta Rhymes, Lil Wayne, T-pain, Chris Richardson, Robin Thicke, Wale, Nas, J. Cole, and Marsha Ambrosius.  Tyga, revealed a more sophisticated side on “Black Crowns” (a personal favorite) with lyrics like “…heavenly farther, appoint me to the coronation I deserve it, brought music for clarification, Envision my past, Egypt reincarnated…”. Best-Bet Picks are: ”Black Crowns”, “Faded”, “Rack City”, ”Muthafu(ka Up”, and “Let It Show”.

Estelle
All of Me
February 28, 2012

This album in my opinion is TOP SHELF compared to others in the Rhythm and Blues genre. Cockiness (take track “The Life”) is portrayed as confidence and sultry (“Back to Love”) is heard as a all-night-baby-maker-track.  Estelle, teamed up with Chris Brown, Trey Songz, Rick Ross, and Janelle Monae on her third studio album. Best-Bet Picks: ”The Life”, “International (Serious)”, Break My Heart”, ”Thank You”, and “Back to Love”.

Skylar Grey
The Buried Sessions
January 17, 2012

Not familiar with her? I strongly suggest you Google this amazing singer. Though the EP has 3 tracks: “Coming Home”, “Words I Never Said”, and “Love The Way You Lie” they are the 2011 remarkable Top 100 Billboard Hits that you have had to heard unless your deaf to never have discovered them. Her remarkable voice can’t be mistaken for anyone else but herself. This album is short and sweet!

In April Destruction of Glitter will post Album Review's for the following Albums (and more):

  1. The MF LifeMelanie Fiona
  2. Kids In The Street - The All-American Rejects
  3. Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded - Nicki Minaj
