Daughter To A Harvard Renaissance Mother

With the bands original conception starting in 2006, the birth of: “Florence + The Machine” evolved in 2008/2009-ish. The world took notice of the band with their single “Dog Days Are Over”, off their album “Lungs”. Since then training pants off, pacifier out, and no longer crawling the band reached a larger than life status winning, a MTV video /UK Music Video awards, a Grammy and unleashing star power on: “Heavy in Your Arms” last year.  Since then the singer of the band has unleashed chilling ballads that I’m sure would make Steven King jealous he could never marvel such masterpieces.  For instance on My Boy Builds Coffins: “My boy builds coffins he makes them all day | But it’s not just for work and it isn’t for play | He’s made 1 for himself | 1 for me too | 1 of these days he’ll make one for you”, no doubt about it the former Goth 25 year old singer delivers a chilling saga that her outstanding voice narrates. On October 28, 2011 the band released their second album titled: “Ceremonials” (certified gold), since than they have flooded the radio with: “What The Water Gave Me”, “Shake It Out”, and “No Light, No Light”.  Catch the band on tour now @:
