I was shocked to read that a member of the Beastie Boys has died! Adam “MCA” Yauch passed away at the age of 47. He passed away from his battle with cancer after 3 years of salivary gland cancer. Salivary gland cancer is a rare t be diagnosed in someone younger then 55. It seems that parotid cancer is very rare. When I think of the Beastie Boys I will always remember the anthem “You Gotta Fight for the Right to Party.” The most definitely made listen and enjoying Rock music very cool for a lil Haitian girl from Brooklyn who just enjoyed all types of music genre. RIP to Adam Yauch’s who help to take rap outside of Brooklyn and crossed the color lines.
