I watched the Special that Oprah had for Whitney Houston which was an interview about two years ago. I was amazed by her beauty, honest and what seemed like her clarity on life and expectance of her imperfections. What hit home for me was Oprah’s last statement at the end of the special…that Whitney Houston never learn to love herself. In truth it has taken me a long time to fully learn to love myself , make peace with my mistakes, enjoy my own company, and just become at peace with who I am flaws and all the world be damn. It just takes to much energy to attempt to me something other then your true self. Energy better spend on enjoying life and loving yourself. Trust I cried while watching that special but I internalized Oprah’s last statement we have to just love ourselves first before anyone else.
